Global HLOS Smartwatch Shipment Forecast by Chipsets, July 2025 Update
Overview:
HLOS smartwatch share is projected to surpass 58% by 2026. HiSilicon saw the fastest growth among top chipmakers, driven by Huawei and Honor. Apple led in market share but faced YoY shipment decline due to reduced demand. Samsung rebounded in 2024 with the 3nm Exynos W1000 but saw a dip in Q1 2025 amid seasonal and competitive pressures. Google transitioned from Exynos to Snapdragon in Pixel Watch 2 (Oct 2023), with plans for its own Tensor chip in 2026. With major OEMs like Huawei and Google pivoting to in-house chipsets, Qualcomm is expected to lose share in 2026. The attached excel tracks smartwatch shipments by chipset and brand through 2028.
